"Island Hopper was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. The staff made us feel at 'home' right from the airport pick up. The beds are more comfortable than ours at home. The restaurant is also excellent! Hope to be back one day."

Vi hade både kylskåp och vattenkokare på rummet men tyvärr missade personalen att fylla på kaffe och tepåsar vid städningen.

It’s a bit way out to get to any bars or restaurants on foot- St.Lawrence Gap, £10 e/w, for amenities. Walk at your peril the roads & drivers are haphazard & it takes a good half hour if you’re relatively fit!

Avståndet till stan var lite drygt 1km längst med strandpromenaden vilket vi såg som en fördel då det var alldeles lagom med folk på stranden. The weakest part of the hotel is the restaurant catering for breakfasts and all meals: the place that looks like a canteen, is not welcoming. The prices for food are for too expensive. The food is good quality. Spiritless Hotel as it feels very empty.

"Vi sov bara där en natt, men det var den bästa natten på länge. Otroligt skön säng. Boendet låg endast 15 min gång från centrum. Kvinnan i receptionen som tog emot oss var också väldigt trevlig och gav oss ett varmt välkomnande."

Shaky internet and the rooms abit small for the pricing.

"En härlig grön oas nästan mitt i stan. Enkla stora rum som var helt okej. Trevlig personal, god frukostbuffé och bra restaurang. Poolen var en härlig bonus. Prisvärt i Bissau."

AC:n var okej, men inte 100% bra. TV kanalerna ganska "brusiga". Ca 2 km att gå till centrum som kunde vara kämpigt i hettan.

"Allt, precis allt. Generös lobby där man inte behöver beställa utan bara slå sig med och ta en gratis café. Fantastiskt lätt att begripa AC. Området i sig. Var så lycklig över att bara stiga ut och befinna sig just Där !!! Det mesta ligger 3- 4 kilometer bort och man kan aldrig gå vilse då överallt är som en dröm av storslagen arkitektur."

"The room and around fit to the explanation and pictures. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We came in October when season is over. The owner cook a dinner for us. It was quite expensive (30 euro par person taking a fish, 15 - with no fish), but tasty. Wine was exceptional. It was better then drive in the dark to the restaurant and back (the road is not easy even during the daylight). Adrian made the welcome. Very nice guy with good English. The owner, Vasko (sorry if a spell the name wrongly) is very nice guy. Able to speak Russian. Show us the winery. The wine is exceptional. Very quite place. The views are stunning."

The only one thing was not OK - in one of the rooms (we took 2) water in the shower drains poorly - floor was full of water.

"Excellent location. ALL the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Near to the American Memorial Park and if you want to book a tour of Saipan, I can recommend Walt at Discover Saipan. He gave me a superb tour of Saipan and Tinian and can collect from the hotel. Delicious dinner in the Terrace restaurant. Several pools and one of them is large enough to swim lengths and is open till late. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!"
