The Sonnenbergstoppar Hotel in Kriens offers panoramic views over Lake Lucerne, the mountains and the forest, a Nespresso machine in every room, seasonal cuisine and free WiFi. Hotel Sonnenhöjder is easily reachable by the historic funicular, climbing up from Kriens Dorf within 7 minutes, from April to November. Guests can enjoy panoramic views from the on-site restaurant´s winter garden or terrace. A large network of hiking trails surrounds the hotel and a 18-hole mini golf course and a playground are there as well. You can park your car for free on site and guests can take advantage of a free public transport ticket during their stay. "The rooms were nice, the view was also nice probably but unlucky for us the weather was foggy. The rooms have windows that see down the hill and they also provide binoculars to enjoy the view. There's a market in the farm near by that you can buy fresh milk products."

"Really good stay in Lucerne with super friendly staff who were very accomodating. The views from this stay are absolutely incredible! The location is away from the busy centre, but there is a cable car that runs every 10-15 mins to take you to and from the bus stop everyday - very scenic (downside is this only runs until 5pm)."
