"The Vistavista Lodge is absolutely incredible. We loved every minute of our two-night stay. It’s completely off the beaten track but very much worth the slightly bumpy road to get there. The views across the lake to the volcano are simply breathtaking. Waking up to that panorama each morning was something special. The staff are so warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious throughout our stay. There’s also a beautiful waterfall on the property, it’s a bit of a trek to reach, but absolutely worth the walk. The lodge arranged a half-day bird and nature walk for us with a guide called David, who was excellent. If you can request him, do, he’s knowledgeable, passionate and made the experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, surrounded by extraordinary scenery and far from the tourist crowds, The Vistaverde Lodge is perfect. Oh, and don't forget to buy some of their coffee from the manager's farm. Fab!!! A taste of Costa Rica at home :)"

"Ett mycket trevligt boende med trevlig och hjälpsam personal, god frukost och bra rena rum. Trots läget vid vägen var vårt rum som låg in mot gården tyst och lugnt. Bussen stannade precis utanför och det fanns flera bra matbutiker och restauranter på gångavstånd. Stränderna låg längre bort, men vi promenerade och tyckte att det fungerade även om det säkert inte passar alla."

"The four bungalows are located on top of a hill and offer spectacular views of the ocean and the coastline. They are nicely decorated and each has its own terrace with seating area. A delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, french bread and jam is served in front of the main building - and again you have awesome views. To cool down and relax there is a pool surrounded with sun loungers and hammocks. The owners Corinne and Laurent are very friendly and helped us enormously when we experienced some trouble with our rental car."

"The lodge is very beautiful and located in the middle of the jungle. We saw maccaws, toucans, monkeys from the terrace of our tent and it was not just luck, to see Scarlett maccaws is practically a guaranteed experience. We stayed in the tent for 4 nights, it was very comfortable. The lodge is located in the middle of the beach trail, so it was also a nice hiking experience. The host Emily is another reason to visit the lodge, she helped with everything: helping with transportation, tours, hiking trails, everything we asked. She was very proactive as well. We enjoyed her hospitality and would definitely come back! And dinners were the best in Costa Rica!"

"Staff are friendly and helpful, and the room is clean enough. It's good for a one or two-night stay if you're flying out of Daniel Oduber. The pool view is stunning not sure the pictures capture the vibarancy, and breakfast is healthy. It was nice to work out at the gym. Conveniently located near Walmart and some takeaway places for food. Was able to save my luggage after check out , so good if you have a late flight."
