"It is right in downtown. Walkable. Had single beds in dorm which i liked along with a side table with lock. Had hanging areas in room behind door and clothes drying from window. Clean and spacious bathrooms. Have a communal fridge. Staff friendly and helpful in booking tours and guidance. Very filling breakfast. I would take along bread and cheese and jam as takeaway sandwiches for later. They have beans, pickled veges, boiled egg, cheese, jam, bread and fried falafel for breakfast."

"It is a lot of stairs to reach with luggage. Its 4 flights of stairs i think. The communal area has old furniture."

"I took the private room with attached bathroom. It was really good value, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Room was large and the staff very lovely indeed."

"Kindness, hospitality and professionalism of all employees, Eslam especially, but also nice Ahmed and all female personel we had interaction with. Hostel is clean, very pleasant, settled in beautiful, old, but neat and well kept building, not necessary to say super centrally located. Breakfast is full and super tasty...without exaggerating, all experience with Freedom Hostel was just right, we both just loved our stay here. When I return to Cairo, I won't search for new place to stay, I have found it."
