The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. The PNGFE made my stay very comfortable and made me experience local life and the raw nature of PNG!!"

"We had a truly great stay at Vila Davor, Turistička 8- Peštani. The location is phenomenal, at least in our case with small children, because the apartment is less than 10 meters from the private beach with sunbeds. In same house there is a beach bar and kayak and sup board rental. There is a supermarket and several restaurants of national cuisine nearby. As for sightseeing, the entire area around the lake and the Galicica National Park are a 15-20 minute drive away. The host is pleasant and ready to help in any way that would make the stay more pleasant (cheers Mishko). The house is a little bit older, but the apartment is clean and tidy. The kitchen is shared and with basic things as it is noted in the offer so that is not a complaint. It is a bit more difficult to park if you have a large vehicle, but the host can find you a safe and large parking lot in the immediate vicinity. And the biggest plus at least for us- they are pet friendly."

For me, having visited the Singapore tourism highlights on a previous visit, it was not an issue at all, but good to be aware that those highlights take a bit of time to get to. Also good to be aware you are welcomed into an actual home while the owners are living there. It's part of the charm.

Josie is the best host someone could ask for - she is very attentive to the guests and always prepared to help or to recommend places for maximising the experience of tourists. "Very good location, close to the city beach , 5 min on foot. There is a pool on property which is very practical when it is hot during the day and you do not feel like walking to the beach. An outdoor kitchen is available, there is a gas stove, BBQ place etc, very useful for people wanting to cook. The apartment is clean, spacious and right for our group. The staff were amazing and friendly - they were brilliant about our late check in and early check out and provided delicious food and cocktails. "The location is wonderful! The beautiful house where we rented a unit is right on the lake. The house is well-kept and beautiful. The weather was cold and a little foggy, which added to the atmosphere. In the summer, the residents walk 20 meters and are already in the lake, which invites swimming. "We were originally going to stay at the main Thermal Hotel, but saw this and the rating and thought why not, and so glad we did! The property is next door and in the centre, and the host is amazing. Guy called me ahead of arrival to tell me about location / access etc, and was the perfect host when we arrived. He had even set up the room TV including Netflix to our language. The rooms were not only spotless but modern with an elegant touch. Would definitely recommend."

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."
