"Communication was quick and helpful. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. The area was excellent with metro, shops and restaurants all very close by."

I didn't not like anything, but a knife to cut things with would have been useful and maybe mugs for tea/coffee as there were only some small paper cups.

"What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . La sig.ra Gina incarna l'ospitalità e l'accoglienza che ogni ospite desidera ricevere; empatica e mai invadente, generosa nel donarsi, attenta e cordiale. "The accommodation is a little out of the way, but is an absolute winner in terms of price-performance ratio. There is nothing missing. About a 25 minute walk to a well-stocked supermarket and the top restaurant Papa Figo. To the beach, turn left and go straight on. There is also a bank branch with an ATM on the way."

"The accommodation was clean and fresh, Location was quiet with plenty of local restaurants, and a few local shops to get basic groceries. We hired a car during our stay which is recommended if you want to further a field as we did ."

"Perfect location for visiting petra, the host is a very nice gentleman, he gave us a good tour through the apartment and explained everything necessary. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the portable heaters will make up for that. Its a large place."

"Very cozy place owned by an incredibly friendly and welcoming family. Breakfast was included in the price and it was always absolutely delicious — thanks to them, I had the chance to try several traditional Sri Lankan dishes I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Whenever I needed anything, they were quick to help and always took care of everything with a smile. Their hospitality truly made my stay feel special and comfortable. Thank you once again for such a warm and memorable experience!"

The place is located a bit farther from the main areas, so you’ll need to walk a few kilometers, take a tuk-tuk, or have your own vehicle. However, there is a small convenience shop right next to the accommodation, which is handy if you need anything. If you’re sensitive to noise at night, it might be an issue — though that’s quite common for most hostels and village houses in Sri Lanka.

Only 15mins walking to seven eleven, shops, etc. The room was comfy and clean. Good value too. Bed was super comfy soft to firm! Easy to safely store our bicycles 🚴🚴 A great place to visit and Grandad may also show you around his collection of antiques. HIGHLY recommended 👌"

The host was very helpful and kind allowed us to check in earlier, which was wonderful after a very early flight. I definitely recommend it — my family and I had a great time."
