"Friendly staff, quirky architecture, on-site bar/restaurant, direct beach access. They fixed my (missing) toilet seat as soon as I mentioned it. The main beachfront area was lovely, and I stayed a second night. There are shops and restaurants nearby - though I didn't find one that was as cozy as Sobo Bade itself - and it's not far from Popenguine and its nature reserve."

My room was in an annexe (and therefore cheaper!) and the bathroom facilities were in the room (though there was a door - but not a full-height wall - separating the toilet from the rest of the room); definitely only for solo travellers! There was good WiFi in the main part of the guesthouse, but it didn't reach my room. There was no hot water, but I discovered when leaving that I could have asked for a bucket of hot water to take to the room.

Basic Things I had to ask several times for, like for towel, sheet to cover. Was the bed sheet new or not? I don't use the refrigeretor for one night but anyway it should be clean and not moldy. Nice that there is in theory the space to cook something, but wjhere are pots or a water boiler to prepare a tea in the morning? A bottle with liquid sapon in kitchen or batvroom or in booth would be also nice.
