"The owners were like family and nothing was a problem. They even drove us to the bus station which was some 12 kilometers away."

It was private away from the centre of Vevchani. It felt very homely. We were there in winter and it was great and in summer it would be even better.

"The home is in great shape and is easily accessible. Check-in and check-out was well laid out in advance. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook meals and store drinks during our stay. Having the AC in the room was a life-saver!"

Some basic kitchen amenities like paper towels and trash bags were not provided or incorrectly sized. Trash bins (inside and outside) were sometimes over-full due to the nature of the shared space.

Cleanliness could be improved. Flies and mosquitoes due to location. You need to keep fly and mosquitoes repellent

The location was at the foot of the hill, which was a bit disappointing. The uphill walk did not get me much higher and I could not progress further along that path.

You need a car to get to the property from the boat ferry in Fare. It takes an hour and 20 mins to walk.

A small table or something to sit at would be nice in case you want to play cards, etc.

"There was nothing to really "like" - nothing standing out - IMHO room facilities, decoration, bathroom and bedding where merely acceptable."

The owner's agony on low power consumption is obvious. 1) the fuse controling TV & AirConditioner was off - had to do a bit of troubleshooting in order to get the TV operational 2) lighting in the room extremely low 3) stove required ~45 minutes to prepare one cup of coffee. The road to get to the property is suitable for one way traffic. If you crossed with another vehicle one of the two would have to reverse. Pet friendliness was limited to the owner's pets and was not extended to the guests' pets. The owner resented the fact that I traveled with my pet noticing that I should have informed up-front.

We booked our hiking tour to Petra thru Dana Village Lodge , Ramzi and Hamza take care of everything and organise your entire holiday for you. I would highly recommend staying here and going on tour with Hamza and Camel and all the locals there. They are such amazing, generous, and thoughtful people"

"The place feels like home and is just on the edge of the national park. The owner made sure I had everything I needed, even though he wasn't there for the majority of my stay. Suds and Didi that help at the guest house were so amazing. Very caring and friendly and made sure I was entertained during my stay. Didi's cooking is the best I had during my travels in Nepal. This place might not be for people that like comfortable hotels, but I loved staying in a mud house and being this close to nature. I highly recommend it."

Accueil très rapide, aucune information, pas de code wifi. Pas possible de se baigner dans la piscine, le robot était dedans durant notre séjour. Salle d'eau pas très propre. Manque des rideaux occultants pour ne pas être réveillé par le jour Tiroir cassé Très peu de vaisselle, pas de torchon de cuisine

"This is not a standard hotel or gite or whatever, this is a special place. Expect no luxury here, this is not what Karims guesthouse is about. It is about being in a small village and in nature. Basically, this is as close to a home stay as you can book on Booking. You can choose a room or the stilted house (recommended) in a garden full of interesting plants. Your water comes from a well or the river, your coffee directly from the bushes around you, and the food from...actually I don't know where, but it is amazing. One of the Kpime waterfalls is just a short, but nice walk away, and you can roam the village or take a long walk to Yikpa waterfall (~4 h one way). And when you come back, you lay in a hammock with a fresh and local cocoa or sit in the garden. And the best, you don't need to be in Kpalime, with all the chaos, noise, and smells. Although it is something different, I really enjoyed my stay. Karim is a fantastic host and La montagne verde exactly my type of stay."

Just be aware what you are booking, and there is nothing negative about it.
