Not easy to access by bike

"Doba and his family were exceptionally welcoming, outgoing, and fun. We spent three nights at chez doba, and went on two hikes each day, to different waterfalls, viewpoints, and villages. In the evening we played football with the children and drank beer and tea with the locals. Special shoutout to Amadou, our guide for our stay - a great guy! Highly highly highly recommend Campement Chez Doba to anyone visiting Senegal, its been the highlight of our trip. We also booked onto an extra trip with Doba to tour a nearby bedik village, which was very picturesque! Doba Tours also offers other tours around Senegal, including Dakar and Niocolo Koba National Park, which we didnt use, but heard good things from other guests. The food was good and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable!"

Rummen är lite tråkiga men för priset tycker jag absolut att det är värt det!! Fanns däremot inget fönster i mitt rum.

"The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others."

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

"Property had a really nice hang out space and the WiFi worked really well and was very fast for our 2 day stay. Staff helped us arrange a local bus to Chipata."

Rooms very very basic and had a mould issue. But other than that was okay. We didn’t have bed bugs in our room, but we met other backpackers in the dorm beds that said they did have them…

"Stunning setting, dynamic staff, interesting fusion of accommodation and working plant nursery. Bathroom feels like you are in the middle of the Amazon. Very refreshing."

Locating the Da Terra at night is not straightforward. It is surrounded by several houses and some distance off the road.

"Fantastiskt ställe. Anlände runt midnatt men det var inga som helst problem då perosnalen var på plats fram till sent. Köket var fräscht och hade allt man behövde. Trevliga sociala ytor fanns tillgängliga och väldigt mycket att se och upptäcka i området. Ledsamt att efter 2 nätter behöva checka ut och åka vidare. Kommer garanterat rekommendera och återvända."

"Låg vid ett litet industriområde men störde inte! 15-20 minuters till centrum. Endast tre rum som delade kök och wc/dusch. Två enkelrum och ett dubbelrum. Micro, spis med ugn, kyl med frysfack, diskbänk, möjlighet till tvättmaskin i "källaren, Tv endast i dubbelrummet men det var inte uthyrt så värdinnan låste upp det så att man även kunde använda den om så önskades! Men jag var ju inte på Grönland för att se på Tv, men tanken räknas! Möttes av en trevlig värdinna som förklarade allt. Och billigt i jämförelse med andra ställen! För min del helt perfekt! Brukar vara sparsam med boendet vid resorna och har upplevt vissa nitlotter men detta var INTE ett ett av dom! Skulle bo här igen om jag återvänder till Nook! (riktigt varmt vatten fanns i duschen och tog inte slut vilket kan hända på andra ställen! Värme även i hela stället)."

The tap at the kitchen is likking while open. Somw floor tales must be fixed. One of the light bulbs needs replacement.

"A place that has an old fashioned look with plenty of decorative wooden features. Bedrooms good. Kitchen OK. Bathroom good. Plenty of hot water. Very convenient location."

"Welcoming host, good condition of the rooms and bathroom. It felt safe to walk around in the Neighbourhood (during daytime), people seemed friendly and interested. Note that it is not a touristy area, what makes the experience of visiting Praia more authentic."

"This place is simply fabulous - clean, quiet, cozy, everything works, in a great location near night market, mall, fast food etc, easily reachable by bus, yet, some rooms face forest. It's self check-in, all information is provided timely and clearly, communication is brilliant and any questions promptly answered. One of the best place to stay ever."

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...

"Det var mysigt, i ett gammalt byggnad i centrum, dörrarna med gamla nycklar. Trevlig personal som är beredd att hjälpa till. Välutrustat kök. Väldigt tyst. Flera kafeer, en av dem är en trappa ner. Ett stort rum för fyra personer. Det finns ett skåp att låsa sina grejer i, låset krävs dock att ta med. Kaffe, te finns i köket tillgängligt. Ok ställe att sova över, prisvärt."

Jag saknade en hylla nära sängen att lägga glasögon på och en mobiltelefon. Det saknas också belysning för varje säng. Annars är jag inte så petig, hostel är hostel.
