"Great location in a quiet area, perfect for spotting the Aurora Borealis. We were a group of 10 people, and there was plenty of space for everyone to stay comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The house is cozy and warm, making it ideal for a relaxing stay. Access to the city and nearby shopping is very easy and convenient."

"I was only one night but had everything I needed. Is easy to park and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.The house is what you expect for a "Icelandic traditional house" and perfect for those we don't want a hotel chain. The staff is friendly, and offered me cake and coffee. hopefully I'll be back one day to the amazing iceland Thank you Blue House team :)"

"This place is something special. It allows you to feel the real vibe of the outbacks. Amazing to spot northern lights during winter, the idea of creating a dedicated little shop, provided by the owners, is something important considering that the first town (Hella, which is really small) is about 20 minutes driving away. The accommodation is cozy, welcoming, well kept and organized. It’s clear that Greta and Steinar put their own inside this project, with a enthusiasm and passion. Their horse ranch is right beside the cottages and they are cool in let you take a look of their work, by asking them in advance. Washing machine and dishwasher were really appreciated. We definitely enjoyed our time there!"

"Fantastisk upplevelse att sova ute i naturen - fast på ett väldigt bekvämt sätt. 😁 Det regnade på natten men det var mest mysigt med smattret mot tältet. Kan föreställa mig att en natt med stjärnklar himmel är helt magiskt! Servicehuset hade, förutom toaletter och dusch, ett enklare kök, kaffemaskin, vattenkokare och kylskåp. Rent och fräscht."

"We felt right at home during our stay, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although the house is quite old, they have done their best to make it comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, which made things very convenient. It’s a great option for a short stay, and the location is ideal for aurora hunting."

"The property was amazing, such a lovely modern, well-equipped villa, literally in the middle of nowhere, yet just a ~30 min drive from the closest town! It's rare to say this on Booking, but in reality it is better than what you see on the photos. 10 of us stayed there for 2 nights. Super easy to communicate with the hosts and to get in - there is a lockbox at the door. The villa was squeaky clean, the rooms and beds super comfortable and the kitchen is impeccably equipped with everything you don't even know you might need. The highlight, of course, is the outdoor hot tub, which can comfortably fit 12 people. Watching the northern lights from there was quite literally a life-changing experience. The hosts were super nice and easy to communicate with, also shared with us a a super helpful information pack about the area and what we can do while we are there. 11/10 would recommend!"
